Pilkington Jewellers has been established since 1958, first trading as Wartmans Diamond Setters. Wartmans dealt with retail trade, setting diamonds and gemstones and manufacturing for all leading Retail Stores.   Alwyn Pilkington deceased on the 28th February 2006 after 45 years of business. Pilkington Jewellers carries on the tradition of handcrafted jewellery making, as established by Alwyn Pilkington.  Today the business is co-owned and run by Lynne Pilkington who has 25 years of retailing experience. Lynne offers personal service and advice on all design aspects of jewellery. Lynne runs the business in partnership with John Stanley. She has completed many Antique Jewellery courses and uses this knowledge in her design work; she also is a qualified Diamond valuer. Lynne travels extensively and attends the European Jewellery Fairs giving her a solid contact base, thus allowing her to keep up with the European trends and designs. John Stanley is the associate director and partner in the business. He has been in the jewellery trade as a diamond setter for 31 years. John began his profession with Wartmans Diamond Setters as an apprentice diamond setter. He offers true professionalism in his dealings with client designs and can give sound advice on the practicality and manufacture of your design
